Meet Our Staff

David Barta

As the agency principal, Dave has over 30 years of experience in personal, commercial and farm insurance. Originally from Rice Lake, Dave and his wife now reside just outside of Barron. He came to the agency in 1984 after starting his career in Durand, Wisconsin, and then purchased the agency in 1986. Prior to becoming an insurance agent, Dave had graduated from WITC, serviced in the United States Air Force, and had work experience in the finance and lending industry.

When not working, he enjoys spending time with his 3 children, 2 stepchildren, 7 grandchildren and 4 grand dogs. He is involved in and enjoys the collector car and restoration hobby. Dave is active in serving his church and local Kiwanis civic group, as well as on the Board of Directors of several non-profit groups.

Selene Lehman

Nate Cook

After graduating from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls, Nate obtained his Property and Casualty Insurance license and began his career as an independent insurance agent in St. Paul, MN.

In the fall of 2008, Nate jumped at the opportunity to join Erickson Insurance Agency and move back home. As a graduate of Rice Lake High School, Nate enjoys the people of northern Wisconsin and finds fulfillment assisting with their home, automobile, farm, crop and commercial insurance needs. In his free time, Nate is an assistant coach for the Rice Lake High School varsity football team and he also volunteers as a coach and an official for a number of youth athletic leagues.

Carsten Ellison

Carston Ellison

Carsten Ellison is a full-service agent with Erickson Agency and is licensed to write property, casualty, health and life insurance. As an independent agent, Carsten represents many companies, which allows him to customize coverage to fit your individual insurance needs.

Carsten is a graduate of Barron High School and received his post-secondary education at UW-River Falls. He owned and operated a dairy farm for many years; he has been an insurance agent for the past 17 years and brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the position. Carsten understands the challenges of meeting the unique insurance needs of each individual, family or business. His goal is to provide honest, reliable service to every client. Count on him for a prompt and courteous response to your insurance questions.

Linda Millerman

Linda Millerman joined the staff at Erickson Agency, Inc., in February of 2008. Her duties include bookkeeping and customer service and she is also a licensed insurance agent.

Linda has lived in northern Wisconsin her entire life. She graduated from Prairie Farm high School and furthered her education at WITC in Rice Lake, earning an associate degree. Linda has worked in a variety of office settings including law offices, a church office and an accounting office. She is an active member of her church altar guild, ladies' group and choir. Linda also volunteers her time at Cameron High School by helping out at functions sponsored by the music parents' organization.

Linda currently resides in Cameron with her husband, Bob, and her son, Steve. She also has two older children, Angela and Sam. Linda enjoys bowling, fishing, swimming and boating with her family and friends.

Pat Staycoff

Pat came to the agency in September 2008, after moving from the Twin Cities to Rice Lake. Prior to the move, she was employed by Kemps in Minneapolis as a Business Service Analyst for 10 years. Pat has enjoyed working in the food and dairy industries for most of her adult life, and received a diploma in Culinary Arts from St. Paul Technical College in 1994. The ongoing process of learning the insurance business has been a new, rewarding and challenging experience.

Pat recently purchased a home in Rice Lake and in her free time enjoys cooking, gardening, canning, going to auctions and spending time with her 2 children, 3 grandchildren, parents and visiting family and friends.
